Zero Feed Subscribers?

0 feed subscribers?! I discovered this while reading ate Ria’s blog. What brought me to her blog, a feed subscription notification on her blog post “A Thirty Minute Wedding“!

Is it an addition to the array list of FeedBurner bugs?

Idea BulbIdeas just pop out of our minds, right? They often come unexpected! Admit it: it’s always harder to generate ideas when your trying to generate one. [idea bulb stock belongs to its owner, :D ]

As an insomniac, my mind journeys through the vast galaxy of “Cyberspace” before I actually get to sleep. It’s like ideas here, ideas there and ideas everywhere. Those ideas just run through my mind, until I get to sleep. Then when I wake up in the morning (actually, the right term is noon), everything is gone. Continue reading “Keep a Handy Notebook” »

Binary Shirt

There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who can understand binary and those who don’t.

I’ve encountered this “quote” on our Embedded Systems class last year. I love its geekiness. :D

Anyway, this shirt is available at ThinkGeek.com.

Gearing to Full Throttle, just like an airplane on its way to take-off. Full throttle, with full power [current (I) x resistance voltage (V) in Physics].

My last school day of 2007 just passed and now I’m entering the airspace of my 19-day journey in blogging. Just like an airplane, my blog will be soaring high hopefully. I’m planning to go higher than what has been reached.

Here are my plans of action this Christmas break:

  • redesign (again) the blog.
  • make a blog template for Gerwin
  • get my EON card on Monday
  • make at least 15 posts
  • and have an authority of at least 70 and reach $100.00 Adsense payout by December 31, 2007

Control towers (parents?) are much stricter now, flights from 4 to 6am are now restricted. Hahaha.

UPDATE: Thank to kuya Ayel, a Physics teacher, (http://ariellalisan.org/) for correcting my P = IV. :D

Yesterday, I posted on my “Series of Unfortunate Events” post my LandBank experience. For those who haven’t read the article, I went to LandBank to withdraw my PhP 2,700.00 school stipend over-the-counter cause I lost my ATM. Yesterday’s transaction was not approved and required me to process its replacement.

So today, I processed its replacement. The process was smooth and easy so there were no problems. Here’s a chronology of events on how I got my replacement. Continue reading “LandBank CM Recto Experience” »

It all started yesterday.

MSU SASE Results

Yesterday, the result of the Mindanao State University System Admissions and Scholarship Examination was released. I admit that I was expecting to be in the System TOP 20, but I was wrong. I was very disappointed of myself! I should have been contented being in the TOP 20 of General Santos campus. But for the overall results, I’m very happy that most of the people in GenSan TOP 20 were my Pisay and West batchmates.

Last Day of Exams

The last exam I took some hours ago was Biology 3. I read the whole chapter on the discovery of DNA as the Genetic Material. I mastered it for couple of hours, from the study of Griffith, Watson and Crick’s model up to Meselson and Stahl’s experiment (semi-conservative model of DNA). But it turned out that only a few questions from that part came out. Most of the questions were from the part I least studied. ****!

LandBank Trip

Right after our last exams, a bulletin was posted regarding an emergency general assembly after lunch. Our director told us that we are not required to attend classes tomorrow and other stuff. So after the assembly, I rushed to get a gate pass for my LandBank trip.

I was supposed to withdraw my PhP 2,700.00 school stipend (plus my 1,000 internship allowance). I rode a taxi to LandBank C.M. Recto just to catch the 3pm cut-off. I realized that I only had PhP 544.00 in my pocket. The cab charged me 48.00, so I gave my 500. He said he didn’t have change so just paid him 44.00.

I arrived there earlier, filled up a withdrawal slip and fell in line (haha). The teller asked me for an ID, I gave my school ID. She also asked me for my ATM card, and I told her that I lost it and will process the replacement next week. Continue reading “Series of Unfortunate Events” »

The results of the August 25, 2007 Mindanao State University Systems Admission and Scholarship Examination has just been released today.

I passed the exams, with a score of 125. It was sort off bad for me, huhu. I was not in the Systemwide Top 20 but got a rank of 12 for General Santos campus.

I expected a higher rank, cause I was at number 1 on the MSU GSC CoED High School Department admissions exam. Hehe. But I got a nice score.

The results are available here:

I have been using StumbleUpon to promote my blog for three months now. It’s giving me traffic more than any other this-type-of-programs in the Internet. But why do I call it bad traffic?

  • It gives you a lot of untargeted traffic. You may notice in your analytics tool that there has been more than 20 entries from StumbleUpon in a minute for your first minutes. That’s approximately one (1) visit every three (3) seconds from a computer. Care to waste your precious bandwidth with a bot?
  • StumbleUpon visitors doesn’t comment. They tend to just read your stuff, then press the Stumble button (to go to another page).
  • They don’t read your ads. Why would they care if they can find more relevant interesting stuff in just a click of a button? [Lower CTR]

Still not convinced? Then try making your own list! Hahaha.

But I’m still very grateful to StumbleUpon, they gave me this paradigm “pageviews are just numbers, what matters most are loyal visitors”.
