A Blogger’s Greed

Category [tags]: Blogging

Bloggers are greedy. Greedy are bloggers.

Most of the bloggers I know except my very own sister who have tried monetizing their blogs are greedy. Sorry for the generalization but I bet its true 99% of the time.

And since I am tired of structuring good sentences and paragraphs, I’ll bullet the rest of this post.

  • At one point of a blogger’s life, he (can be used in refering males/females) sees himself drowned by sponsored post. If not by sponsored posts, with so much advertisement blocks around that’s occupying much of the space.
  • Most bloggers find it hard to blog a long and fun experience to the extent that they never post about it. But a blogger can easily make a paid review given a certain price.
  • Cruel bloggers aka modern-day civilized bastards like me, have thought of starting a “fight” with other more famous bloggers. Personally, I have thought of writing an article on a local blogger in the Philippines who is claiming to earn more than he does. Shame to him that his blog is driven by pornsters looking for Pinay scandals! Another hint: he’s not blogging lately.
  • I can’t explain how the above item is related with greed.
  • A blogger that receives his earnings in cold cash starts to become anxious of his earnings in the succeeding payouts.
  • There’s more, it’s also the time projections for next payout’s earnings are projected; which are usually higher. (A Blogger’s Proactivity)

Oh know, I’m crapping this blog with this post. Okay, I’ll stop now. Add things on the list. Discuss them in the comments area and have fun.

Yes I’m greedy. But as famous Jun Lozada said, “moderate your greed”.

Ui, binasa niya ang post. Pacheeseberjer ka naman! Cheeseburjer, cheeseburjer. Plug ko lang: watch these Davao Bloggers on their cheeseburger video.

bloggers are really greedy… lalo na yung mga nag a-accept ng mga copy pasting jobs at babayaran ng almost $300.00 para sa walang kahirap hirap na trabaho :D copy pasting paragraphs with links.. :D

Hmm.. the second point you’ve made doesn’t apply to me at all.. I agreed to write about something for a specific amount about 2 or 3 months ago.. and I haven’t written it yet.. I’m not so greedy pa naman.. hehehe..:D

@Jehz: LOLs. Mukhang dollars na ako!

@Gwing: Wahehehe. Amf, ba’t di na nagagree sa second part!

I can understand where you are coming from and I’d like to commend you for writing such a brave post.

Too often, I see in my feed reader that one of the blogs I follow have new posts only to find out that it’s a sponsored review - quite frustrating actually.

And also, I would see and read the high earnings, subscribers and traffic of some blogs who I think are just writing crap but with good SEO, has dominated the search engines with their keywords.

BUT…

In fairness to these bloggers,

I understand that they need to earn money. And so, when I read paid posts in blogs, I change my frustration to elation, knowing that this blogger was able to get income that could help him in his finances.

Furthermore, whenever I see these bloggers posting their income, showing their traffic and high subscriber list. Instead of jealousy, I try to harbor within me inspiration, to learn from these blogs on how I can duplicate their success in my own way.

Truth be known, I don’t have plans of hijacking those tech and p0rn keywords of these highly successful blogs. But these people have become good resources for me to learn how to properly rank well with my own keywords that’s relevant to my blog niche and I can be very well be proud of.

Wow, ang haba na pala ng nasulat ko… pwede nang isang blog post. Wahehe. Anyway, that’s just my two cents. We are all Pinoy bloggers, let’s learn from each other. Yun lang. Bow!

P.S.
Good luck in your studies in UP Diliman. That’s also my Alma Mater. And from one Isko to another, let me give you one advise: “Do not let your academics hinder with your education.”
