Sir set the 2nd and 3rd wireless routers to DHCP disabled, only the 1st wireless router will handle the DHCP. Also you’ll need to configure the 2nd and 3rd wireless router to a client bridge, similarly properly configure it’s wireless security so the 3nd wireless can access the 2nd and the 2nd can access the 1st wireless router see this link for more info…http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/tutorials/article.php/3639271..

Di na po kailangan na iset to bridge and Prolink 5200 just set the Linksys wrt54g2 to an Access point, Disable DHCP on Linksys, DHCP will be handled by Prolink since router na po ito,

Kung ang IP ng Prolink is on 192.168.1.1, sa Linksys set it to 192.168.1.2, DHCP IP’s on Prolink is from 192.168.1.100-200.

The cabling would be different on this setup,… from ethernet port of Prolink connect to one of LAN ports of Linksys (do not use the WAN port). Wireless settings on the linksys will still be the same, just disable DHCP.

Ang advantage po nito eh wala po tayong ginalaw sa original setup ng globe sa Prolink H5200

Greetings!

May question lang po ako regarding wireless bridging…. Mag kakabit ako ng CCTV system sa bahay ng friend ko. The problem is, the internet signal ay manggagaling sa office nila which is 10 blocks away sa bahay…Biinabato ang internet from office to bahay wireless— router to router… We are talking about 3 wireless router… 1st wireless router is from the ISP, modem router sya located at the 3rd floor ng building, binabato naman nito internet sa 2nd floor office sa 2nd router. 2nd router will transmit internet sa 3rd router na nasa bahay nila at doon naka install mga CCTV. we need internet connection para sa remote viewing. Nag port forward na ko sa router 2 and 3 pero when I check port kung open using canyouseeme.org nag error ang response, also when i ping ip address 192.168.1.135 ang result is “destination host unreachable” pero sa summary sa ilalaim ay:

sent: 4 received: 4 Lost: 0…. Pano po nagyari na ganon ang summary sa pag ping ko ng ip address ng dvr???

And if you just share your internet in the room there is no need to set Linksys as PPPoe unless kung may balak ka gumawa ng Wifi Hotspots na binabayaran. Just set it to Automatic configuration – DHCP

Here is an example.
Prolink Hurricane 5200 default IP is 192.168.1.1
for wireles 192.168.254.254

Linksys WRT54G2 default IP is 192.168.1.1

As you can see naman si Prolink at Linksys ay magkapareha ang IP except sa wireless.
So kung hahayaan mo lang ang IP ni linksys mag ka conflict yan so walang internet lalabas sa pc mo.

How to configure:
1. Hayaan mo nalang ang IP ni prolink at wag muna ikabit si prolink kay linksys.
2. Pasukin mo si Linksys sa 192.168.1.1.
3. Goto Lan setup and find the LAN IP ni linksys. Pag may makita ka dun na 192.168.1.1 yan na palitan mo like 192.168.2.1.
4. Hayaan mo ang subnet mask.
5. Hanapin mo si default gateway mostly auto detect yan. Pero mas maganda e manual mo e type mo si Prolink IP 192.168.1.1
6. Save and reboot. (Kusang mag reboot si linksys)

So ang IP ni linksys ngayun ay 192.168.2.1 while the rest of the computer susunod sa subnet ni linksys like 192.168.2.2 etc. So there is no need to restart PC only the browser.

BTW sa mga prolink na wireless na ang IP 192.168.254.254 hindi na dapat palitan ang IP ni Linksys kasi makikita mo naman di sila pareho so there is no conflict between them.

Ammm.. Pag andar ni modem it will try to connect sa globe using PPPoe protocol with authentication. Kaya nga may account input sa index page ni prolink username:password. And modem ay kusang susunod sa subnet ng server hindi po si globe ang magbigay ng address sa modem. Prolink ay may default IP na po. Madalas 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.254.254 for wireless..

As I said ang router ay my default IP na po hindi si modem ang magbigay ng IP sa router. Si modem ay gagamitin lang sa router as internet gateway and DNS para mag ka internet.

3. Syempre, ang computer hihingi din ng permission to connect and IP address, pero ang router naman bibigay ng IP address sa computer.
Ang computer ay susunod lang sa subnet ng router hindi ang router ang mag bibigay ng IP sa computer. Gagamitin lang sa computer si router as internet gateway and DNS.
