I Hate Oprah Winfrey

Since we stopped our cable TV subscription, my frequency in watching Oprah’s show increased from about once every three months to thrice a week. I then realized that Oprah sucks big time, really.
Oprah Winfrey sucks! Oprah is not a good talk show host. Oprah is not an influential person. Oprah is not the Oprah she is now.
Why do I hate her? Oh yeah, I’m going for another lame bulleted list of reasons. I’m not hating her for no reason. Oprah, you got to read this!
- Oprah invites big people! The people she’s inviting are the one who puts spice on the show, not her.
- Oprah is a cleaner and less annoying version of TV shopping network. Several times I watch her different items. Now I’m wondering, do advertisers tap Oprah to advertise their merchandise on Oprah?
- Oprah gives out great loots to studio audiences. There’s nothing bad in giving out great loots but I think this is there style for people to participate (clap with all heart and soul) in the show making it look more interactive and interesting.
Seriously, I find Korina Sanchez and Jessica Soho more interesting and influential. I believe you dear readers seldom see Oprah haters like me. These are only my opinions, not another Anti-[name of a person] Movement.

” Oprah’s 4 interviews with Jill Bolte Taylor were the first that Oprah did after Eckhart Tolle and they take everything Tolle talks about to another level. Oprah’s copy of Jill’s book, MY STROKE OF INSIGHT, was dog-eared and all marked up and kept reading from it the way she read from A New Earth and recommended it highly.
Oprah’s recommendation was enough for me. I read My Stroke of Insight and I loved it too. This story is as inspiring as The Last Lecture or Tuesdays with Morrie - and even better, it has a Happy Ending!

To be honest, I haven’t watched a full episode of Oprah. But I’ve heard so much how she sucks and I love the MAD TV sketches about her. LOL

I liked Oprah when she first started. I was in college at the time so I was able to watch. She covered a lot of thought provoking type of issues. She was more like a regular person, a next door neighbor who happened to have a talk show. I learned a lot from her show (from some of her guests that is) over the years. I don’t watch it as much but only because I haven’t been at home. In recent years, the times I have seen it, I’ve been a bit put off by all of the celebrities she has on the show. It just looks as though, since she’s become famous and has all of this money, she likes hanging with other famous people. I don’t relate to that. I don’t even like the gift giving shows because I can’t participate in it. It use to be fun watching those particular shows but I’ve come across some hard times and it’s not fun watching other people get things that you’d like when you aren’t able to do it for yourself. I guess I envy the success. I would love to be well off and not have to worry about money.

I don’t like Oprah too. I don’t watch her show. Pero may times na natataon na I watch Oprah. And minsan, nagtataray sya. And I find one of her bad side… discrimination. Parang mas in favor sya sa mga black compare to whites. Iba yung dating… basta…

I read “My Stroke of Insight” in one sitting - I couldn’t put it down. I laughed. I cried. It was a fantastic book (I heard it’s a NYTimes Bestseller and I can see why!), but I also think it will be the start of a new, transformative Movement! No one wants to have a stroke as Jill Bolte Taylor did, but her experience can teach us all how to live better lives. Her TED.com speech was one of the most incredibly moving, stimulating, wonderful videos I’ve ever seen. Her Oprah Soul Series interviews were fascinating. They should make a movie of her life so everyone sees it. This is the Real Deal and gives me hope for humanity.
I have no idea what the fuss is all about. Just another talk show to me. :S
