Hi.Just a while ago, I’ve confirmed my slot in the University of the Philippines. Confirming a slot is important because as we all know admission to the said University is stiff.
Now, what you’ll need is an internet connection and your UP Notice of Admission (it looks like the one below). Take note of your student number and your PIN (both fields are highlighted above). Keep your PIN as confidential as possible, someone might access your account thru that number.
Now, log-on to http://freshman.up.edu.ph. You will see a page similar to the one below. Read the announcements on the page as much as possible then click Continue (highlighted below).
Then you’ll be asked of your Student ID and PIN. Enter the required information, it may look similar as the one below. Don’t forget to click Submit!
After entering the required info, you will be redirected to a letter from the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. After reading the fluttering letter, click Continue.
After clicking continue, you’ll face the moment of truth. It’s time to confirm or give up your slot. The form will look like more or less the one below. Be careful in deciding. Ask your parents, your siblings, your relatives, your neighbors, your pets and everyone you know to help you. Ask their advice. If answer is affirmative, make sure to click the first radio button that says “I will enroll in [your course], the course I qualified …”. If negative, click the other one that says “I will enroll in another school …”. Don’t forget to click Continue to continue to next step.
If you chose the path more taken, the first radio box, you will be redirected to a page that says that your slot confirmation was successful together with a lot of useful links. Don’t forget to fill-up your student directory online. [image below]

@Camille: Just try accessing the site later. Their servers are down due to high loads of traffic. I hope previous confirmation won’t get affected.
