Keep a Handy Notebook

Idea BulbIdeas just pop out of our minds, right? They often come unexpected! Admit it: it’s always harder to generate ideas when your trying to generate one. [idea bulb stock belongs to its owner, :D ]

As an insomniac, my mind journeys through the vast galaxy of “Cyberspace” before I actually get to sleep. It’s like ideas here, ideas there and ideas everywhere. Those ideas just run through my mind, until I get to sleep. Then when I wake up in the morning (actually, the right term is noon), everything is gone.

That was before I kept a handy notebook. But now, I stopped wasting my ideas. I carry a notebook everywhere I go. Little by little, I learn to value its importance. Here’s a short rundown of its benefits.

  • No more wasted idea. Ideas could be like dreams, you can forget them in an instant. But if you have a handy notebook with you, you can always write it before it vanishes.
  • It could be your to-do checklist. Almost all mobile phones now have a tasklist applet. But nothing beats the sensation of actually checking a real checkbox or striking through a word!
  • Your notebook will save you from boring lecturers. On boring lectures, my notebook has been my bestest friend. Who loves listening to them?! You could always draw, rant and even curse the lecturer with minimal chances of getting caught.

Ooops, the “laziness” hormones has just been released. I’m ending it up with real pages of my real handy dandy notebook.

hahaha… i’m not using a notebook in school. heehehe… ow, i have one google earth notebook though. i’m still contemplating if its a good idea to use it or not. i usually keep my notes up on my brain chamber but some things mess around which leads me to miss some important ideas and to-do’s. i’m not good in keeping things on my built-in human memory. hehehee

it’s nice to know you are still using a pen and paper to pen down your thought. The classic way of doing things still is better than a notebook computer :D
