My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend

My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend

A while ago, I asked my parents if we could watch a movie after attending mass. They agreed and asked me what movie to watch. I told them that I’d like to watch My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend by GMA Films.

At first, they thought it was cheap but they eventually liked it. I defended that Tagalog movies are better. Honestly, I still prefer Tagalog movies rather than watching a foreign movie. Tagalog or shall we generalize it to Pinoy movies are easier to understand mainly because of the culture and tongue we share.

Now, for a movie review. My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend is a must-see movie (well, if you can still catch it up on cinemas). It is a story of a spoiled rich man (Evo, Richard Gutierrez) who fell in love with his bestfriend ’s (Mark, JC de Venecia) girlfriend (Grace, Marian Rivera) who happens to be a member of society’s lower class. As much as I like to share about the movie, I prefer not to for the sake of others who are still to watch it.

Richard Gutierrez and Marian Rivera had a good chemistry in the movie. Some scenes made me laugh hilariously, promise. It is not like your typical love story that makes you cry.

Marian Rivera danced her signature Marimar dance several instances in the movie. Richard Gutierrez and Marian Rivera had crying scenes which made me laugh rather than sympathize. The movie ended up with everyone happy with their lives.

The filmography was at par to my expectations. The popular focus-effects were used superbly in the film.

Overall, GMA Films made a great job. They had a lot of sponsors such as Bench, Dunkin Donuts, Zagu, Hershey’s Kissables and other companies I failed to mention.

Pinoy Love movies are NOT cheap. They are worth watching! They are better than Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. :D

I do watch and like some Filipino films. But let’s not be hasty and say they’re better than LoTR. LoTR is the best! :P

So true. Pinoy movies are much better. I love them. Some of them are cheesy, but I love them. This made my #1 Fave Pinoy Movies. I really love this movie. Richard and Marian are so great together.
