My Supposed-to-be-Productive Trip

Hi.

I am writing these post in an Internet cafe near University of Mindanao Bolton. I’m in this place, a place far far away from school, cause I’m supposed to fix things up. Here are some of them:

  • Withdraw funds from my DBP account.
  • Deposit a part of the withdrawn cash to my UnionBank account.
  • Go to a nearby Internet cafe to download the parts we need for research.
  • Buy electronic components at Davao Times Trading Hardware.
  • Go to National Bookstore to buy stuff for my English and Math project.
  • Buy soap and shampoo at SM Supermaket.

After the jump is a narration of what happened on my wonderful trip. I left school (Pisay in Mintal, Davao City) at exactly 2:30PM, the approved time of departure in my gate pass. I was supposed to go to UnionBank of the Philippines C.M. Recto Branch to deposit some cash right after withdrawing the funds of my Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) account. I rode a jeepney from school to SM, then a taxi from SM to UnionBank. On our way was DBP C.M Recto branch. I noticed that the bank was already closed. I checked some of the banks on the same street and noticed that some were still open. When the taxi reached UnionBank, the bank had the “CLOSED” sign board hanging on the main door. Huhuhu, too bad I didn’t make it. I was not able to catch up the 3:00PM cut-off time. I see myself as the person chasing for the bank’s cut-off in one of the Banco de Oro’s television advertisements.

Anyway, I decided to deposit a part of my DBP withdrawal to my UnionBank account to control my greed (Jun Lozada’s term). With the debit card, I can only buy from establishments with the credit card swipers which includes National Bookstore and SM Supermarket, establishments where I should spend my budgeted cash. It will also restrict me from spending much on KFC, my favorite fastfood, since they don’t have the magic device.

Going back to the story… With that, I decided to withdraw my funds at DBP and keep it in my wallet. I went inside the ATM booth and poof! Guess what happened? Yeah yeah, I left my DBP ATM at school.  This means I don’t have enough cash to buy stuff for my English and Math project. :(

So now, I’m in this Internet cafe. I’m not sure if I should be pursuing them now, with limited time.

Waaaaaaaaa, I can get this stupid at times. After writing this, I think I’ll have to go back to school far far away from where I am now. Should I go back to the dorm or enjoy the rest of the time cashless and moneyless? :(

Offtopic:

TRIVIA. I heard from one of my classmates that the C.M. Recto street or avenue has the most number of banks in a single street or avenue. Nice, huh?

Another thing, how I wish that all the banks have the 7PM Banco de Oro closing time. :(

I like this article… This will be my First time to this blog. Appreciate you for sharing this. I have to revisit this website. I was a truck repairist for years. Our repair tip of the day is: Do not try a extremely difficult repair job solo. This can cost you additional money in the end. Thank you …..
