Series of Unfortunate Events
It all started yesterday.
MSU SASE Results
Yesterday, the result of the Mindanao State University System Admissions and Scholarship Examination was released. I admit that I was expecting to be in the System TOP 20, but I was wrong. I was very disappointed of myself! I should have been contented being in the TOP 20 of General Santos campus. But for the overall results, I’m very happy that most of the people in GenSan TOP 20 were my Pisay and West batchmates.
Last Day of Exams
The last exam I took some hours ago was Biology 3. I read the whole chapter on the discovery of DNA as the Genetic Material. I mastered it for couple of hours, from the study of Griffith, Watson and Crick’s model up to Meselson and Stahl’s experiment (semi-conservative model of DNA). But it turned out that only a few questions from that part came out. Most of the questions were from the part I least studied. ****!
LandBank Trip
Right after our last exams, a bulletin was posted regarding an emergency general assembly after lunch. Our director told us that we are not required to attend classes tomorrow and other stuff. So after the assembly, I rushed to get a gate pass for my LandBank trip.
I was supposed to withdraw my PhP 2,700.00 school stipend (plus my 1,000 internship allowance). I rode a taxi to LandBank C.M. Recto just to catch the 3pm cut-off. I realized that I only had PhP 544.00 in my pocket. The cab charged me 48.00, so I gave my 500. He said he didn’t have change so just paid him 44.00.
I arrived there earlier, filled up a withdrawal slip and fell in line (haha). The teller asked me for an ID, I gave my school ID. She also asked me for my ATM card, and I told her that I lost it and will process the replacement next week. She did not approve my transaction, and I was pissed off. How come I can’t withdraw on my account’s branch when I can withdraw interbranch from my account without presenting my ATM! I was very pissed so I left the bank without getting a single cent.
Internet Cafe
After I got out of the bank, I went to NetExpress internet cafe. They did not allow me to avail their services, cause it was still school hours.
Jeepney Ride
So I rode a jeepney to NCCC Mall from CM Recto. Just before passing in front of Ateneo, I realized that I only had 500.00 on my pocket. So I went down with a free ride.
Search for a Taxi
I was searching for an empty taxi. I decided to go to SM instead of NCCC Mall. I had a hard time finding a cab so I started to walk. I did not realize that I was already in front of Almendras Gym. I walked from Ateneo to Almendras just to find a taxi. Hahaha. I got tired so I stayed there. I still had to wait for a couple of minutes before I found a cab.
The End
And now, I’m in SM. I hope this series of unfortunate events would end. I’m not planning to have a sequel for this article, hahaha.
